About The Cover

ONLINE COVER A Vascular Threat. This image depicts abnormal blood vessels in a mouse model of colorectal cancer liver metastasis, visualized by optical frequency domain imaging. A study by Rahbari et al. demonstrates that in addition to inhibiting blood vessel growth, antiangiogenic treatment of colorectal cancer increases tumors' stiffness, which presents a barrier for subsequent chemotherapy treatments.
