ONLINE COVER Electric Heart. A wave of electrical activation passes over the surface of a human heart. Depicted as a colorful continuum of electrical intensity, this map can be generated using a technique called electrocardiographic imaging (ECGI). The bright red circle marks the origin of an abnormal beat, or ventricular tachycardia. As described by Wang et al., ECGI not only shows tachycardia initiation and continuation, but also provides high spatial resolution for effective termination of cardiac arrhythmias. [CREDIT: C.
