In cultured GBM cells, DCA causes a dose-dependent increase in H2O2 production and intracellular α-ketoglutarate concentrations and a dose-dependent decrease in secreted VEGF (n = 3 experiments). *P < 0.01, compared to control; #P < 0.01, compared to 0.5 mM DCA.
